October Stated Meeting
&
Feast of Tishri
Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 6:30 p.m.
Hello Brothers,
Please join us for the stated meeting on this Wednesday, October 1st at the Austin Scottish Rite Temple. We will also celebrate the Feast of Tishri during our meal in the dining room.
The Scottish Rite’s Feast of Tishri is an annual celebration that commemorates the dedication of King Solomon’s Temple, tracing its roots to the Feast of Tabernacles. The holiday combines themes of harvest thanksgiving, the biblical sojourn of the Israelites, and the architectural achievement of the first Temple. Scottish Rite Masons observe the Feast of Tishri through fellowship, ceremonial aspects related to the degrees, and a shared meal, symbolizing dedication to Masonic values and brotherhood
5:30 p.m. The evening will start with a Collegium presentation by Brother Keith Orrison on the origins of the Feast of Tishri, how it relates to the Scottish Rite, and why it is considered one of the obligatory gatherings.
6:30 p.m. The Feast of Tishri will be held in the dining room and served by the Oder of the Garde Manger. Toasts will be offered with a variety of beverages as we enjoy the company of our Brothers and a great meal.
7:30 p.m. The stated meeting will be conducted in the auditorium by the Austin Consistory.
I hope to see you all there tomorrow night as we celebrate and give thanks for the fraternal friendships we have made over the years.
Sincerely and Fraternally,
Don Eames, 33° IGH
