2026 Feast of Tishri and October Stated Meeting
Hello my Brothers,
I would like to remind you all that our Feast of Tishri will be celebrated at the October Stated meeting next Wednesday, October 7th at 6:30 p.m.
- The Feast of Tishri is an annual, symbolically obligatory observance in Scottish Rite Freemasonry that commemorates the dedication of King Solomon’s Temple and gives thanks for the harvest.
- The Supreme Council considers attendance an important “sharing of our fraternal spirit” and an essential annual gathering.
- For Masons, the physical building of Solomon’s Temple serves as an allegory for building a spiritual temple of virtue and brotherly love within the human heart.
-The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Auditorium for a presentation and discussion led by Brother Keith Orrision. Brother Orrison will discuss the significance of the Lodge of Perfection and it’s relationship to the dedication of King Solomons Temple.
-Brother Mike Sentell and the Order of the Garde Manger have planned a special menu to celebrate the Feast of Tishri. Dinner will be served in the dining room at 6:30 p.m. We will perform the obligatory toasts and enjoy the company of our Brothers while dining and listening to a presentation on the reason for the Feast.
-The Stated meeting will begin at 7:30p.m. in the auditorium. The business of the Valley will be conducted and Lodge of perfection will gather the membership to retake the obligation of the 14th degree.
Please join the Officers and Members of the Austin Valley for this meaningful event next Wednesday and I hope you all have a great weekend.
Sincerley and Fraternally,
