Hello my Brothers,
I hope you are all doing well and getting ready for Fall. I would like to invite you to attend the Feast of Tishri that will take the place of our October stated meeting. We will be hosting special guest speaker, Illustrious Jim Rumsey 33° IGH, Chairman of the Grand Lodge of Texas Committee on Work. Brother Rumsey will be speaking on the “Allegory of Tishri and the Symbology of the Entered Apprentice Degree”.
The Feast will be held in at the Austin Scottish Rite Temple onWednesday, October 5 at 7:00 p.m.
The evening will start with a presentation by Venerable Master Rana of the Collegium Ecossaise at 5:30 p.m. in the Auditorium. The presentation topic will be on the 27th degree, “Knight of the Sun or Prince Adept”.
Dinner will be served in the Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. where we will take part in the Feast of Tishri.
Recommended donation for the meal will be $20 at the serving line. A special menu will be prepared by Brother, Chef Sentell and the Garde Manger. The meal will include prime rib as well as the prescribed Tishri fare.
Recommended dress for the Feast is black tie or coat and tie.
*Please make a note that if the parking lot at the building is full, there is free parking on the street and in the state parking garage that is located ½ block south of the Scottish Rite with access at Colorado Street.
The event is open to all Scottish Rite Masons.
