Austin Scottish Rite Valley Schedule
The City of Austin and Travis County have extended their stay in place orders through December 15, 2020.
This decision effectively means that the Valley will not be able to prepare properly for our Reunion degrees scheduled for May 16 and May 30. Not only do we have rehearsal concerns but we have ongoing concerns about the health of our members and candidates.
Besides working, eating and sitting in close proximity to each other, we would be handling and sometimes using costuming just used by others. Given the risk to each other and especially those of us with an at risk demographic we will continue with our suspension of all Scottish Rite activities through the month of January.
I know that some of our degree teams have been working remotely in order to be prepared for the Reunion. I appreciate all of your efforts and feel that keeping sharp will serve us well when we are able to resume work. We plan to work with the other occupants of the Theater to reschedule our Reunion in the Spring of 2021.
In the meantime, we will continue to communicate via Zoom and plan for our annual Fundraiser to be held virtually on October 13, 2020.
