HAPPY NEW YEAR
Greetings my Brothers,
I hope you all have enjoyed your holidays and are looking forward to a joyous new year full of happiness, good health, and success.
**Please remember that The Austin Scottish Rite will be Dark for our January Stated meeting as it falls on January 1st this year. **
We have conducted the officer installation which usually occurs in January at the last stated meeting in December.
I encourage you to congratulate the incoming officers for the Austin Scottish Rite Bodies and welcome them into their new leadership roles. A complete list of officers is included below.
The Valley will host a Leadership Retreat on Saturday, February 1st from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This retreat is highly recommended for all new or existing officers and will be open to all members of the Scottish Rite who are interested in future leadership roles. We will start with a breakfast at 8 and finish up by lunch. The meeting will be held in the dining room unless attendance outgrows the room.
Our February Stated Meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 5th when we will conduct our Capping and ring ceremony. We will present the newest members of the Austin Scottish Rite with their caps and rings during an open meeting. The ceremony and dinner will be open to friends and family to support and observe the capping of our new Brothers. The Collegium meeting prior to dinner will also be open to friends and families as we will have an appropriate presentation for all audiences.
I am looking forward to the opportunities that are open too us in the new year. I hope you will join in making 2025 a successful new year for the Valley of Austin and for the Masonic community.
